Workshop Details
In this workshop we will build on the landscape from the first workshop (Jan 10) or if you only register for Part 2 we can supply a wool background for you to work on. Let’s have some fun and play with details, layering and blending wool fibre to create a landscape with depth and appeal. We will provide images to inspire and launch your creativity. If you have a landscape image you are welcome to bring it along for your inspiration. We will demonstrate techniques and details to draw your eye in, such as little houses, gardens, rivers, or mountains. This class is “dry”, there will be no water. Needle felting and hand stitching will be the techniques taught in this workshop, bringing your landscape to the next level. We will show you how to use a variety of felting needles and how they can be used for covering large sections of background or creative little details that are personal. We will also demonstrate a variety of hand stitching using embroidery floss, beads, and sequins. You will learn to lay down sections of colour, and make small details that make a big impact. Date: Jan 14 Time 6-8pm Location: Studio 204 at the RCA Guild Members use Coupon Code FIBREART2021 at checkout for $10 off this workshop.
