Workshop Details
Nuno-Felting is the fusion of silk and wool creating a lightweight warm fabric. When up-cycled sari silk is used, the end product is a wonderful collection of colour, texture and warmth. No felting experience is required. This class will give you the opportunity to make three samples using 3 different wool materials with the sari silk. Each wool material gives you a different quality of fabric. We will be using merino roving, merino prefelts and correidale roving. This is a class that lets you explore the different techniques of nuno-felting. It is a sample class. It let’s you play with colour combinations and different materials and allows you to explore different possibilities with the idea of a future larger project in mind. All materials will be provided.
