Nikki will be teaching this workshop using Tin Can Knits 'Strange Brew' pattern to design your own sweater. Strange Brew has instructions for top down and bottom up yoke sweater in Fingering, DK, and Worsted weight yarns. The course will be taught over 3 weeks (one day per week) so you will have time to practice the techniques and get lots of support along the way. Day 1: We will look at design and plan your sweaters. We will also talk about colour choices. Day 2: Start knitting the gage swatch which can be a swatch, a hat or cowl. We will go over how to knit with 2 colours at a time and catching floats Day 3: Day for questions and starting your sweater The following Thursday is Open studio so feel free to come and ask more questions Date: July 11, 18, and 25 Time: 6-8pm Participants will need to buy the pattern from Tin Can Knits, either on their website or off Ravelry https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/strange-brew Feel free to bring a Laptop with excel to chart out your pattern or Pencil crayons to help play with colour schemes.
