In light of the rapidly evolving situation and information regarding social distancing and COVID – 19, the Board would like to pass the following information on to you: We will be postponing or cancelling large group activities in the Guild Room for the month of March. This means:
The Weaving Explorations meeting for this Friday is cancelled.
The Shadow Weave workshop scheduled for March 29/30 is being postponed.
The March 24 Board meeting will take place remotely.
The March 31 Guild meeting has been cancelled.
The March 26 Spinners Group gathering is cancelled.
It is quite possible that we will have to extend cancelling of activities into April. We will keep you updated. In the meantime, the Guild room is available for use by our members. We will be posting a sign on the door reminding people not to come in if they are not feeling well. We will have bleach, dish soap and paper towels available on the counter beside the sink and are reminding you that hand washing is paramount.
Our vibrant Fibre Artists Guild is located in the sunny Okanagan Valley of British Columbia in the town of Kelowna. We are located downtown in the Rotary Centre for the Arts building in Room 204. We have been creating and sharing together since 1973. We welcome all fibre artist, spinners, weavers, knitters, crocheters, rug hookers, fibre dyers and more to come and visit us or join our guild. We love to share our information, experiences and ideas and desire to promote excellence in the fibre arts while at the same time educating the public and ourselves in the appreciate of both the ancient and modern day fibre arts techniques.
