Workshop Details

Experience the pleasure of weaving your own tea towel while using current skills and expanding your current weaving knowledge. Workshop Details: During this day-long workshop you'll be weaving a 22" X 36" tea towel using 8/2 cotton. The workshop will use the Log Cabin Pattern and larger Rigid Heddle Loom. These larger Rigid Heddle looms are perfect for the job. We will start by warping the looms and begin weaving. During the class we will discuss sett and add more weaving terminology to your vocabulary. Included in the class is the use of one of the guild's larger Rigid Heddle Ashford looms. Materials are not included. You will receive an email from your instructor with information about the materials you will need to bring to the class. Instructor: Patricia Roberts Date: Saturday May 4th, 2024 Time: 9:15 - 4:15 with a ½h break for lunch Location: Guild Room RCA The guild has 4 Rigid Heddle Looms participants can borrow, please let us know if you will need to rent a loom so we can hold it for you. She joined the Ponderosa Weaving and Spinners in July 2021 to focus on learning to weave and expanding her knowledge of natural fibers.
