Workshop Details
Boho beads draws inspiration from nature, global cultures, and a laid-back, artistic aesthetic. They are characterize by artistic aesthetic, a handmade feel, and a focus on self-expression. In this workshop you will be using sari silk, beads, wire, threads and trinkets to create unique beads. They have many decorative uses, such as Christmas ornaments, purse charms, junk journal adornments….They are fun to make and super addictive. Date: Dec 13 Time: 10-1:00pm Location: Studio 204 at the RCA. All materials will be supplied by the instructor. Judith is a visual and fibre artist with a BFA from UBCO. She has been exploring colour and texture for many years and uses many disciplines in her work. Her journey has taken her from plant dyes to commerical dyes on all the fibres and fabrics she can find. She spent many years felting and nuno-felting, slow stitching and collaging and her love of abstract imagery comes from her many years of painting
